Summer: A season for Radiance and Renewal

JUNE - SEPTEMBER | Pitta Season

Summer is a season of fire—long, luminous days where energy runs high, passions flare and transformation is possible.
This is Pitta time—ruled by heat, light, and intensity.

When in balance, Pitta is focus, radiance, and inner power.
When out of balance, it can show up as:

❂ Overheating or skin flare-ups
❂ Irritability, impatience or frustration
❂ Restless sleep or vivid dreams
❂ Heartburn or digestive discomfort
❂ Feeling “burned out” : mentally or physically

To realign, we need cooling, calming, and gentle rituals.

SUMMER WELLNESS TIPS

Move to cool and calm.
Swap out intense, heat-building workouts for gentle flows, restorative yoga, Pilates, swimming, and mindful walking—especially in the morning or evening. Focus on breath and ease, not sweat and strain.

Eat fresh & hydrating.
Favor seasonal fruits, leafy greens, cucumber, coconut, and fresh herbs. Avoid spicy, fried, or acidic foods that add extra heat. Start your day with aloe or rose water.

Soothe your senses.
Surround yourself with calming colors (blues, greens, whites). Mist your skin, use rose or sandalwood oil, and try cooling sound baths or gentle playlists.

Protect your energy.
Limit sun exposure during the hottest hours. Rest in shade, swim, or meditate by water. Honor your limits—less is more.

Breathe & release.
Try cooling breathwork (Sitali, Sheetkari, alternate nostril). Take long, slow exhales to release tension and mental heat. Three minutes of intentional breath can shift everything.lternate nostril breathing. (Try: 3 minutes of deep, intentional breathwork every morning
